2016 - 2017 Transistion Diagram

Below is the diagram of the garden as I left it at the end of 2016.  Obviously I am hoping that all 20 of the Hosta return this coming spring.  This diagram will be considered current until May 31 when it is presumed that all plants have spiked at that point.

One would presume that those untouched from last year have the greatest chance to survive the winter ... in fact now that I look it more closely ALL those in BLUE have have been in my garden for more than a year.

And to reiterate what the diagram indicates; numbers 1, 5, and 6 were new last year.  Until they spike they are considered first season plants.  After they spike they would be considered to be first year plants.  The difference is that they've survived a winter.
